Hello, I’m Adrian Bromley. I live near Blandford Forum in Dorset, UK. I’m married, have 3 sons and also share the house with a pet cat and dog.
I have been working in all aspects of IT – servers, networks and user support, both cloud and on-prem – for decades and have built a great deal of knowledge. This site is my attempt to share some if that information that is poorly documented elsewhere. I have especially tried to add some context – explaining not just how to setup an IKEv2 VPN for example, but why you might want to, the pros and cons, the problems you may encounter, and troubleshooting steps.
I firmly believe that you get far better results by thoroughly understanding and being in control of a well-chosen but simple product than using a more sophisticated product that you do not understand. I’m a big fan of Draytek routers for this very reason. They are easy to setup, are secure out-the-box, and have some genuinely useful features that are well documented (especially on this site, soon).
I work for InfoSysCo.co.uk, based in Dorset. We offer our customers day-to-day user support, infrastructure support and datacentre services. We support both on-prem and cloud installations, using Microsoft products.
